Are your items new or vintage?

Most of our items are vintage and therefore may have some natural signs of wear. While it may sound like a flaw, this is actually what gives each piece its unique charm that makes us love vintage clothing so much. We do our best to note flaws but may overlook small things from time to time. Please contact us if you have a concern about your purchase.

Where are the items sourced?

Everywhere. We travel and bring you the uniques regardless of their origins. We have regular business trips per year.

Are your items cleaned?

All are dry cleaned or washed before sale. But we always recommend our customers to wash or dry clean items before wear.

How do I know the fit of an item?

Measurements are taken while garments are lying flat. All measurements are in centimetres (cm). Please note that certain items are pinned back to fit model (but it will be indicated when this is done). Please read the measurements carefully for we do not accept returns for items that do not fit. The best way to see if something will fit you is by comparing the measurements to something similarly shaped that you already own.

What happens if there are color variations between the actual item and photos?

If color variation is the main concern when purchasing online, customers are welcome to drop by our physical store to compare the actual item and photos. We use both studio and natural lighting to try and best showcase the item, the color may however vary somewhat based on what screen the photo is being viewed on.

Customers with concerns on an item are welcomed to request for more photos and details. We do not accept returns or exchanges without prior communication.

Are all the items shown on the photos available for purchase?

Accessories and other items in photographs are not included in purchase unless otherwise noted. Specific items may be available for sale on our website, please take note on Instagram (@whereiwasfrom) for more information.

What currency are your prices in?

We are based in Hong Kong so all prices displayed are by default in HK dollars (HKD). If you are from other parts of the world, you can choose the currency that best suits your needs (JPY, EUR, GBP or USD).

What payment methods does WHERE I WAS FROM accept?

We accept several payment methods: Local bank-in, Octopus Card, Payme, FPS, Visa, Master Cards and Alipay. For online orders, Visa and Master cards are processed through Paypal while registering for an Paypal account is not necessary

What if I need to change or cancel my order?

Once an order is placed, we are unable to make any changes. You can request to cancel your order so you can place a new order with the changes you need. We process orders super-fast, and once an order ships we are unable to cancel it. If you do need us to cancel an order, please reach out or send an email to info@whereiwasfrom.co right away and be sure to include your order number in your request. We will try our best to catch it before it goes out.

Please make sure your shipping address is correct. Orders with invalid addresses may be returned to us and may delay delivery.
