1980s Soviet metal pin of The Noah's Ark (Ноев ковчег). Back then, Russians have shown tremendous interest in locating the Noah's Ark. One of the popular rumours is that Nicholas II of Russia had sent troops to locate Noah's Ark (New Eden) during 1916–17. The historicity of this story, however, is disputed as Nicholas abdicated during the February Revolution at the beginning of March 1917
